Manchester United v Bolton Live

by Rocwood on 16 October, 2009

manchester united v boltonManchester United play Bolton today without influential striker Wayne Rooney, after he injured his calf against Ukraine.

Edwin van der Sar should be between the sticks for Man United for the first time this season, after recovering from a broken finger.  Dimitar Berbatov may opt to sit this game out after the birth of his child.

Bolton are likely to be without Sam Ricketts, who had to withdraw from the Wales squad with an injury. Other than Ricketts, Gary Megson has a full squad to choose from, and will hope to turn around Boltons poor record at Old Trafford – they have lost their last 6 visits.

Manchester United are unbeaten in 9 games, and Alex Ferguson will be looking to extend this, with important games coming up against Liverpool CSKA Moscow.
