Arsenal got a win at Stoke under very harsh circumstances and keep up their dream of wining the title, in a game tainted by Aaron Ramsey’s horrific leg injury.
The game started as was expected, with Stoke keeping Arsenal at bay and using their power in midfield to create chances. Arsenal was struggling from the beginning and eventually conceded an early goal. Then they managed to restore some of the balance and play their passing game, and before half time Fabregas founf Bendtner in the box and the Dane headed it in.
The second half was much of the same, until the turning point occurred 65 minutes into the match. A harsh tackle by Ryan Shawcross broke Aaron Ramsey’s leg and Stoke were down to 10 men. With the extra space on the pitch, Arsenal took full control of the match and Cesc Fabregas and Thomas Vermaelen set the final score at 1-3.
