Spain 4 – 1 Russia Highlights
20′ 1-0 David Villa finishes a counter attack with a goal.
Spain prove that they have come to Austria to grab the EURO 2008 trophy and offer some spectacular and dominant football against Russia. Luis Aragones side has won 4-1 its first Group D match and have taken a serious bid for winning the group.
David Villa was the hero of the day for the winning side. Valencia’s striker has scored a clean hat-trick between the 20th and 75th minutes. You can watch all the goals in the videos provided within this article.
Russia had simply no chance today, in front of a superior and much more determined Spanish side. It was a surprise for me to see Guus Hiddink’s side humiliated this way. They managed only a consolation goal, 5 minutes from time.
Stay with us for the second match of this group, which is due to start in about a half an hour.
