The Rome Champions League final is the climax for the 2009 season. Football offers us the privilege of a meeting between the best teams of this season. Barcelona and Manchester United have played the most spectacular and solid football during the 2008-09 stage. Both clubs have already won their domestic leagues and aim for the supreme European title.

Barcelona won it in 2006 after a final with another English squad, Arsenal. The Catalans won with 2-1. They seem more powerful this time around, scoring easily over 100 goals in the La Liga this season. Lionel Messi heads FC Barcelona in this battle.

Manchester United are the defending trophy holders. The Red Devils are trying to achieve a back to back Champions League crown. This was never achieved in the new Champions League format. Man United are led by Cristiano Ronaldo at the Olimpico.
