An injury-ridden Arsenal side had a hard time in front of goal in Greece last night, not being able to turn their possession into something visible in the scoreline.
Playing with a lot of youngsters against a very experience Olympiakos side, you could argue that Arsenal had a fairly good game and if it weren’t for the inexperienced Bartley gatting caught out of position after an overly harsh tackle, Olympiakos probably wouldn’t have scored. J.Leonardo, the goalscorer, had a well-placed shot and a deserved goal.
Olympiakos proved to be more realistic and better motivated, and the Arsenal youngsters still have a lot of work ahead of them.
