Motherwell v Celtic Highlights

by Joao

A good win for Celtic, who keep their lead over Rangers and show good quality in front of goal.

Giorgios Samaras gave Celtic a deserved lead with a good 12 yard shot. But the first half wouldn’t end happily for Celtic, as Motherwell got the equaliser by Kevin Rutkiewicz and, in injury time, took the lead with a goal by Reynolds.

The second half team-talk must have worked wonders for Celtic, because they came out of the dressing rooms at full steam, and soon got the equalizer, with a well placed shot by McGeady. Not even a missed spot kick by Robson would keep Celtic from taking the lead, which they did when Marc-Antoine Fortune, with practically his first touch on the ball, put it in the back of the net.

Looks like Rangers will have to wait until next week to try to get closer to Celtic on the table.
