A dull match between two teams who needed a win, but did very little to get it, especially in the second half.
Everton had the better start and an early goal by Bilyaletdinov. But the quality of their game dropped, and Larsson gave Birmingham the equaliser in the middle of the first half. From then on, there were close to no goalscoring opportunities and the match came to a dull end.
Everton is now 15th in the league, while Birmingham has gone past Liverpool to 7th place.
