EURO 2008 Adidas Europass Official Football
The EURO 2008 will start in around 30 minutes. Thought that it is the appropriate time to review the official tournament ball. The football is manufactured by Adidas and it is called Europass.
The football was unveiled during the final draw in Lucerne a few months ago. The name is composed by two words that are very significant for the football scene.
‘Euro’ is a common word that needs other explications, while ‘pass’ symbolizes the collaboration between the two host nations, Austria and Switzerland.
The Europass has been already nicknamed as the ‘keepers nightmare’ or the ‘keepers death’. The Adidas manufactured football provides unstable and hard predictable trajectories during it’s flight after a powerful shot. The new 14-panel configuration offers the players an increased control of the ball.
The design combines traditional and modern influences. The flags of the co-host nations are also embedded in the design. You can see the ball in the above embedded image or in the next video.
