January’s transfer window is boiling with hot news, and the latest is the possibility of Real Madrid opening their never-ending wallet to make yet another millionaire transfer. After center-back Pepe’s recent injury, which should keep him off the pitch for 6 months, Real have set their eyes on yet another Portuguese – Chelsea’s Ricardo Carvalho.
Carvalho, brought to Chelsea by the hand of Mourinho, who had previously worked with him at FC Porto, has made an impressive defensive duo with John Terry, with many signaling him as the star in Chelsea’s back four, and the one behind the captain’s success.
Carvalho would be joining Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo, who he knows well from the Portuguese national squad, as well as a constellation of international stars.
More to come as the transfer window draws nearer.
UPDATE: Real Madrid dismisses interest in Carvalho and others
