1-0 Didier Drogba opens the score for Chelsea after a rebound shot.
Chelsea have finally managed to pass Liverpool and to reach the Champions League final. The attendance at the Stamford Bridge could see a superb football match tonight. The Blues opened the score in the first half and seemed favorites for a place into the Moscow final.
Avram Grant‘s side attack and continued to apply pressure. Liverpool where the team to equalize though as Fernando Torres slided the ball past Peter Cech. The semi-final went into extra-time.
Frank Lampard scored from the penalty spot to bring his team in the lead again and dedicated the goal to his mother that passed away recently.
Didier Drogba upped the score after a nice Chelsea combination in the first half of extra-time. Ryan Babel managed to score an euro-goal in the 117th minute to pull one back for Liverpool, but this proved not to be enough for turning the outcome of this final around.
