Everton continue to disappoint as they fall to Villa in a poor match. All merit to Villa, who appear to have recovered well from their European woes, but looking at the Everton 11 you expect a lot more from them.

Sunderland 1-0 Man City Highlights

Big transfer giants Man City sunk before a well organized Sunderland side. Mancini’s men will be missing the number of lost chances but, in the end, it was a well struck penalty by Bent that set the final score.

It will be a hard result for City, who clearly still need time to come together as a squad.

Liverpool 1-0 West Brom Highlights

Job well one for Liverpool, despite the relative meagerness of the result. A good Torres goal was the difference between the two sides.
Liverpool needs wins to stabilize emotionally and a number of wins is all it takes.

Bolton 2-2 Birmingham Highlights

Both teams unbeaten coming into this match, and both remain thus. Bolton, who played with 10 men for a good part of the match, ended up having their superior physicality and fighting spirit rewarded against a Birmingham side who dominated the match with their technicality, but couldn’t express that in goals.
