All eyes will be on Manchester City as they take their new signings to Blackburn on the opening day of the season.
Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Carlos Tevez and Gareth Barry will all be hoping to make their debuts. However one player not making the trip will be Joleon Lescott, after Everton finally turned down his transfer request. Man City have been chasing him for several months now, but this appears to be the end of the line for these negotations.
Nikola Kalinic has received a work permit and his £6m transfer from Hajduk Split to Blackburn has been finalised.
