A tough away match for Chelsea, who now have the proverbial throat around their necks. They now sit in second place, two points from Man United and with the same 64 points as Arsenal, but with a game in hand to both.
Chelsea need to win, though, to keep the distance under control. Skidding away at Blackburn would be no shame for anyone, but it would have the potential to destroy Chelsea’s hopes of winning the title.
Blackburn are comfortable in 12th place and although they’re not turning any heads, they’ve been regular enough to stay away of last minute complications in the table. They’ll be relaxed as they play host to Chelsea and that can be they’re greatest asset.
