
Wolves were under a lot of pressure in this match, but it almost seemed like they weren’t going to fold. In fact, it looked like they were going to thrive under it when Doyle scored just before half-time.
The second half saw Birmingham pile on the pressure. But it took all the way to the end of the match for substitute Phillips to come off the bench and score two goals for Birmingham, which saved the team and manager from losing face in front of their own supporters.
