FC Bayern Munich is the most prestigious German football club. They are located in Bavaria, Munich one of the biggest city of Germany. Bayern Munchen as the Germans call them are not only the greatest club in their home country, they are also one of the biggest football team in the football world. Bayern won the UEFA Champions league four times and has two Intercontinental Cups. Their trophy hall of game also include one UEFA Cup, one Cup Winner’s trophy, 20 national league titles and 13 German Cups.
Bayern are a membership based club and they rank third in the world with more than 135,000 members. Only SL Benfica and FC Barcelona have more supporters as the German champions.

The Allianz Arena
After playing for decades on the Olympia Stadium in Munich, Bayern has moved in 2002 on the new built Allianz Arena. While the Olympia Stadium was built preparing the Munich Olympic Games the new Allianz Arena is designed only for football games. This means that the new building was raised with the optimum conditions to host a football game in terms of spectators, players and officials. The Alianz Arena was opened in the 2005-2006 season and has a capacity of 69,000 places. The first player to score on the new stadium was Owen Hargreaves ho did it against Borussia Moncehngladbach in a 3-0 win.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article ; FcFootballBlog, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
