Albania got a goal up a dismal Northern Ireland squad, in a game played in a pitch hardly fit for football.
The only part of the match worth mentioning is the goal: a free kick nicely taken by Skela in the first half.
The horrible quality of the pitch cannot completely mask how badly N. Ireland played against an Albania side that’s hardly a tough side to beat. They have nothing to show for this match, and the blame has to fall on someone. More was expected of professional players, many of them playing competitively on important leagues.
