United cleared the challenge of Fulham with high marks as Rooney continues his impressive run of form.

It was a very strong United squad that faced Fulham yesterday. Their problems look a thing of the past, and they looked unbeatable in this match.

All through the first half United dominated play, although they were having some problems getting to the first goal. Fulham looked dangerous at times, especially Zamora, but never really got hold of the game. Valencia and especially Nani were causing a lot of damage in the flanks, with good support by the wing backs, while Fletcher and Carrick were bullying the midfield. It looked like half time would come with no goals, but close to the whistle Nani pulled a really good cross that found Rooney wide open for the 1-0.

The second half saw more of the same, although Fulham looked like they were willing to try to change things around. But United kept their good shape and Rooney and the returned Berbatov put the game beyond doubt.

United are now first, two points clear of Chelsea and Arsenal, but with Chelsea still with a game in hand.
