Burnley 1-2 Wolverhampton Highlights

by Joao on 12 March, 2010

Burnley seriously damage their League hopes with this loss, while Wolverhampton will be glad with a win against fellow relegation strugglers.

An own goal by Carlisle and another by Jarvis were enough to see Wolverhampton get all three points, with Thompson’s lonely goal unable to dig Burnley out of the hole they dug themselves.

But more worrying than the loss is the way Burnley held themselves at home. Turf Moor used to be a fortress where all teams feared to play in, and where many great clubs lost points. This season’s debacle is clearly linked with loss of form at home, and it might cost them their stay at the Premiership next year.
