Strange football clips

by Joao on 4 March, 2010

We’re having a slow week in football, international friendly matches aside, so I’ve been busying myself looking at funny football videos.

I wish I could take credit for finding these videos, but they were found by the guys at the SempreCool blog. It’s a general funny videos/curiosities blog, but these two videos they found are just what I was looking for.

This first one is from an Arab league where clearly there’s a huge gap in quality between the guy doing this amazing move in the video and the poor defenders that can’t do much more than to watch.

Now, this second one I have a little bit more information on. The guy is called Wijnaldum, and he’s a young winger for Feyenoord, who’s actually beginning to captivate the interest of bigger European clubs. One has to wonder if this incredible display of strength had anything to do with it:

I don’t want to spoil it before you see it, but he manages to single-handedly knock down three den Hag players on his own. If you look closely, one of them is even being checked for a concussion by the physio. There’s also an epic moment when he punches the ground just as a player falls behind him.

Again, thank you SempreCool for finding these footballing gems.
