Inter got an amazing win against Chelsea, in a match where Mourinho showed why he hasn’t lost at home for years.
Diego Milito scored for Inter in what was practically the first shot of the match, and you could tell right away that it would not be a good match for Chelsea. The teams battled on through the remainder of the first half, but the scoreline didn’t change until the half-time whistle.
Chelsea came out of the dressing rooms with a better attitude and Kalou made it all square 5 minutes into the second half. Strangely, this hardship proved to be Inter’s finest hour. Inter pulled together, Chelsea lingered slightly and 3 minutes after the 1-1, Esteban Cambiasso gave Inter the lead with an amazing shot.
In what the second leg is concerned, Chelsea will have the advantage of an away goal, and Inter have the obvious advantage of being a goal up. But Inter also have the advantage of having a coach like Mourinho, who, as much as I respect Mr Ancelotti, has a clear upper hand over the Chelsea manager.
