For the record books, this will go down as a possibly dull goalless draw, but those who watched the game must have been off their seats for a good part of it – especially if they were Spurs’ fans.
Both teams put a lot of effort and dedication into this one, but Tottenham were the ones who created more goalscoring opportunities. While Villa men rarely got a shot in, Spurs’ Peter Crouch alone tested Brad Friedel 15(!) times.
Who really got something out of this game was Liverpool, who beat Everton and jumped to 4th place, where pundits just a month ago were saying the reds would never reach this season.
