Things aren’t going well in the Stadium of Light, as Sunderland once again fails to take the three points. With only 5 points in the bad from the last possible 33, the times when Sunderland threatened to fight for a Europa League spot are long gone.
It all could have been a lot worse, though. First half saw Wigan in total control of the match, and it was no surprise that 20 minutes into the match Mohamed Diame gave the visitors the lead.
It was a totally different match after half-time, though, with Sunderland rallying their wits and pulling together and getting the equalizer. Kenwyne Jones was the man to put it in the back of the net, his 7th goal in the league.
