Chelsea v Manchester United

Chelsea face Man Utd today with Yury Zhirkov and John Mikel Obi both available after they had successful midweek treatments.

Chelseas only selection problem is replacing Jose Bosingwa, who is almost certainly going to have surgery to repair an injured knee.

Manchester United are missing Rio Ferdinand – Alex Ferguson is concerned that his calf injury is linked to a back problem and wants it fully examined before he plays again.

Manchester Utd should have Nemanja Vidic back in the starting lineup, but Gary Neville is definitely out as he is suspended.

Chelsea have a 100% home record under Ancelotti and a win today would see them 5 points ahead of Manchester Utd.

Alex Ferguson said:

It’s always a hard game at Chelsea, but we’ll deal with it better than we did at Anfield, I’m sure of that

Although he may be worried about the fact he has a weakened defense. His side conceded 3 goals midweek against CSKA Moscow (although they did score 3 in return), and they had a torrid time against Torres at Anfield.

Perhaps most worrying of all is Didier Drogba – he is in the best form of his Chelsea career, with 9 goals in 11 league games so far.
