This assault tackle was carried out by Axel Witsel of Standard Liege, on the Anderlecht player Marcin Wasilewski.
Awful tackle – and from a player once linked to the big 4 English teams as a potential transfer target.
What is the opinion on this one? Was it just a poorly timed tackle, or did he set out to hurt the player?
Oh and in case you are wondering, yes he got red carded.

Sure it was a terrible tackle. But, note that he is standing quite ok after or is that a team mate?
Ray that is a team mate – watch the image again, his leg bends fully back on itself – its snapped in multiple places, there is no way he’s getting up and standing from that!

MY GOD, worst tackle i’ve seen, ever. was just as bad as eduardo’s injury, if not worse. Terrible. There is no excuse for that kind of tackle. his entire shin was broken!
