Boffin’s Formula for Unstoppable Penalties
It is official. We now have an unstoppable penalty formula. A research team from the John Moores University, Liverpool, have worked on elaborating a perfect penalty kick formula. They claim that they have succeeded after many hours of studying high definition images from Sky Sports cameras placed behind the goals.
The Perfect Penalty Formula
The football players need to be at around 16 meters away from the goal. He shouldn’t run more than 5-6 steps until reaching the ball. The shot needs to be at least 65mph (104 km/h) fast, the faster the better. The shot angle should be around 20-30% to the left or to the right. The ball has to enter the goal within 0.5 meters from the post.
Reactions
I don’t think that there is a perfect penalty formula, as nothing can be truly perfect in this world. I agree that there is a formula that can maximize your chances of scoring from the penalty spot, but if you have a crazy, inspired goalkeeper in front of you that jumps before you shoot in the right corner he can save a penalty executed using the above formula.
What do you think?
Take a look at Helmuth Duckadam the keeper that saved 4 out of 4 penalties in a Champions League final in 1986 between Steaua Bucharest and FC Barcelona.
