The teams are selected from 4 different seeding pots. The pots are built considering the UEFA coefficient of each squad. This means that teams with similar ranking can’t play against each other in the group stage phase.

celtic are not in pot 3 as thy have not yet qualified. More to the point glasgow rangers have not been mentiond and the have qualified. just thought i would bring it to youre attention
