Turkey advance to the semi-finals after another dramatic match against Croatia. Fatih Terim’s side won after the penalty shoot-out but their luck was huge tonight once again.

Ivan Klasnic managed to score for Croatia in the 119th minute after a huge Rustu error. Until this point the match was balanced with a slightly better Croatia side, that registered a crossbar in the first 90 minutes. Slaven Bilic’s side was slightly better in the regular time while Turkey balanced the match in the extra-time.

Semit Senturk was Turkey’s hero tonight. Terim’s squad managed another lucky come-back as Senturk scored in the 120th minute and sent the match for the penalty shoot-out. Turkey had a better moral and won the shoot-out clearly.
