Inter Milan stumble again in the Serie A, this time against Napoli. AS Roma have now closed the gap to 6 points and Inter are ahead of a crucial game against Liverpool in the Champions League. A premature elimination from the UCL would be the end of Mancini’s reign at Inter and a difficult final part of the season.
Napoli obtained a very important win. Zalayeta scored the only goal of the game in the 3rd minute after a huge error from Julio Cesar, Inter’s goalkeeper. He came out and missed the clearance. The ex-Juventus striker chipped the ball into the empty net. Napoli rank 11th in the Serie A after this game.
