Sepahan and Waitakere United played the opening game of the 2007 FIFA Club World Cup or World Championship. The Iranian side won 3 – 1 after a funny game from my point if view. All 4 goals of the game where scored after funny defensive mistakes.
Sepahan saw themselves leading 2 – 0 after only 4 minutes into the game. Ridah scored both goals, you can watch them in the embedded video. This was the half time score. Abolheil scored the third goal for the Iranian side with a long range shot and the ball crossing the line with only a few inches. It was the 47th minute of the match.
Savari was the player that scored the consolation goal for Waitakere United in the 74th minute. The squad from New Zealand had to settle with a 3 – 1 defeat. Watch the highlights in the following videos.
