| Nine points out of nine possible for Argentina! |
The Copa America group stage ended yesterday with the group C’s last matches. Argentina defeated Paraguay with a 79th minute 1-0 Javier Mascherano goal and won the group with an impressive run. Three wins out of three matches, 100 percent accuracy for the Copa America tournament favourites.
The other match presented Colombia against the United States. The South Americans won 1-0 after a 16th minute J. Castrillon goal.
Colombia 1-0 United States video highlights (the extended 1-0 goal images)
Colombia has just cleaned it’s image before the exit of the tournament with this 1-0 victory against the USA. The Americans leave Venezuela without any point won and with an unsatisfactory performance.
I want to underline the hilarious simulation of the Colombian number 3 Yepes. You can view it at the start of the video as the Colombian player claims to be kicked in the face by an opponent. The replay shows how he acted and tricked the referee. I have a deep disbelief for such actions during a football match.
Argentina 1-0 win against Paraguay on video (Javier Mascherano’s goal in detail)
Messi’s great preparation followed by a perfect place Javier Mascherano kick resulted in the winning goal for Argentina. The Argentinians lined up a team with eight regular players missing and they faced a stubborn Paraguayan team. The goal came towards the end of the match and confirmed that Argentina can be seen as the only Copa America 2007 country that can edge Mexico for the tournament title.
