Ronaldinho is one of the most famous Brazilian football player currently playing for F.C. Barcelona. He was born in Porto Alegre on 21 March 1980. His nickname, ‘Ronaldinho’, means little Ronaldo. In Brazil he is known more as Ronaldinho Gaucho, in order to distinguish him from Ronaldo ho was already named Ronaldinho. Gaucho comes from his native place, Ronaldinho being born in the Rio Grande do Soul state of Brazil. As of January 2007 Barcelona’s number 10 is also a naturalized Spanish citizen.
Some of his most famous individual achievements are : Fifa World Player of the Year award in 2004 and 2005, European Footballer of the Year and the FIFPro World Player award in 2005 and 2006.

Ronaldinho is famous first of all because his extraordinary football performances. He plays for one of the best national teams of the world, the Brazilian national team. Ronaldinho also plays for one of the most famous football clubs on the globe, F.C Barcelona. And the Catalans are number two in the most supporters per team ranking.
More of that he is not just a simple player in those teams, he is the one of the best players if not the best at Barcelona and at the Brazilian national team.
One other reason for Ronaldinho’s celebrity is the amount of money that he is winning. The Brazilian superstar was last year the best paid football player in the world.
And my third argument is his charisma. He simply is a nice person. He brings joy to football and shows the pleasure offered by this sport. This are a few arguments that make Ronaldinho one of the worlds superstars.
