They made me re-write
In both matches which ended just a few minutes ago have changed the leaders in the Primera Division table. Incredible final of the season in Spain where Real Madrid has just lost the top spot. Barcelona has won tonight 2-1 at home against Espanyol while Real Madrid has lost with the same score at Real Zaragoza. This way Barca are almost sure of another Primera Divison title… (part of the article that I started writing 5 minutes before the end of tonight’s Spanish league games. )
Simply unbelievable
This was the article that I started writing 5 minutes before the end of tonight’s Spanish league games. But in two minutes the history of a season has changed incredible luck for Real Madrid. After scoring goals in the last minutes of the last two league games and saving precious points, Real has equalized tonight in the 89th minute by Ruud Van Nisterlooy. One minute later at the Nou Camp Raul Tamudo has scored and Espanyol equalized Barcelona keeping the standings at the top of the table unchanged.
Sevilla could have reached the top
If this was not enough drama there is more. As Barca and Real lost each 2 points tonight, if Sevilla could have defeated Mallorca they would have come to the same points count as their rivals. Instead the 2006 and 2007 UEFA Cup winners have ended with a goalless draw in Mallorca.
